PORTRAIT OF CONSPIRACY

Available from all major eBook retail sites, Apple iBookstore, Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, and Kobo Books.

Philip Lewellan discovers a mysterious painting. He’s sure it’s proof his missing wife is alive … and may be living somewhere with a child, his daughter. The thought of being a father is more than enough to get Philip to turn to the one person who might believe him.

Sandra Copeland, the original detective assigned to the missing-persons case, chased far too many bogus leads, after Philip—against her advice—offered a million dollar reward. Legitimate private investigators quit taking Philip’s money. Nothing could be found, or any evidence to indicate RenĂ©e might be alive. Copeland is not about to reopen an inactive seven-year-old missing-persons case based on what could only be another bogus lead. That is, until she sees a photo of the oil painting Philip has found in a New York art gallery. Their investigation unearths a staggering conspiracy impossible to believe, or to ignore.

Not just another missing wife story, this gripping tale mixes elements of mystery, romance, and danger, bringing a thrilling new twist to an old tale of greed and vice.

Jack Mayham is a criminal defense attorney with plenty to prove. Fired from three law firms in four years, he believes he's been given the chance of a lifetime to get back on his feet. Soon after depositing a retainer for $250,000, he learns saving the stunning Lisa LaRouse Bedford from the prosecuting attorney is the least of his worries.

Lisa’s husband, Earl, was found dead, floating in their swimming pool. The police suspect foul play, as well they should. According to the autopsy report, someone held Earl underwater a bit too long.
The prosecutor's case is built on rolling hills of circumstantial evidence, and the fact the widow stands to inherit millions now that her husband is dead. Will the receipt for the purchase of a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes be enough to convince the prosecutor Lisa had nothing to do with her husband’s demise? It better, it’s all Jack has to prove her alibi. If the shoes fit, you must acquit.
If only it were that easy.

AS TOUGH AS THEY COME

This eBook is available from all major eBooks retailers, Amazon, Apple iBookstore, Kobo Books, Smashwords, B&N, and others.

Bart Bengo, a twenty-eight-year-old man being tried for murdering a woman he’d met three days prior to her death, has a second chance to prove his innocence. The evidence is stacked against him, but an act of fate results in a mistrial. With the Chief-of-Police out to get him, Bart leaves town before the DA has time to re-file charges.

He has one last opportunity to find his mother, who abandoned him when he was eight years old. She gave him a hug, a pack of Juicy Fruit gum, and an envelope to give to the nice Chinese lady who would be taking care of him while she was away. She then climbed into the cab of an eighteen wheeler and drove away.
Before being tried for murder again, Bart is determined to find out why his mother never came back for him.

The first trail to his mother’s possible whereabouts, leads to a second murder and a nation-wide manhunt for Bengo. With the authorities trying to close in on him, Bart uses his ingenuity to evade law enforcement while continuing to search for a woman he’d been told was dead twenty years earlier.
